Wall of Trust by A.J. Pryor
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
If you don’t know his name, could he be Mr. Right? That’s the million-dollar question for twenty-six-year-old Casey Jacobs. The up-and-coming stylist whose talent speaks for itself, doesn’t have the same eye for men as she does fashion. So when a sexy mystery man wants to trade numbers, but not names, she’s more than a little skeptical.
Wall of Trust is the enchanting modern-day romance by author AJ Pryor that explores whether you have to access a person’s identity to know his heart. When Casey meets a very attractive tech genius, she is keen to find out more about him. The catch: he’ll only divulge his name if she goes on a date with him. Still smarting from a past two-timing boyfriend, Casey is pretty sure the man with no name has something equally unsavory to hide.
As their lives intertwine, a woman arrives on the scene who might just force Casey to end their deepening romance. Is it time to toss him aside like last season’s stilettos? Find out in this sweet, flirtatious read that’s brimming with fun and heart.
The Perfect Wave by A.J. Pryor
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Things are heating up in A.J. Pryor’s seductive new novel, The Perfect Wave.
Twenty-six-year old Jessica Baker lives the easy life. The daughter of a Texas oil tycoon, she’s never had to work hard for anything. Until the day she meets Roan Anders. There’s an instant attraction, and she’s sure it’s love at first sight. Unfortunately, Roan’s not interested in anything having to do with love. The sexy sports agent who spends half his time on the road and the other half on his surfboard has lived his life avoiding that four-letter word.
As circumstances beyond their control force them together, they embark on a friendship that is destined to get complicated. Both try to deny the intense chemistry flowing between them, but as lust and desire ignite their feelings from a slow burn into a raging fire, what started out as platonic, quickly flares into something impossible to contain.
Aware that Roan is the one man who has the power to anchor her heart or break it wide open, Jessica is devastated when salacious allegations from Roan’s past surface and tear apart her love and faith in their relationship.
Can a life long playboy actually be tamed? Can their love survive the rocky waters into which they have been thrown? When these two connect, will it be the perfect storm or the perfect wave? Find out in this sexy and emotional story that explores how one’s past can change the course of one’s life forever.
Right Next Door by A.J. Pryor
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
My fiancé is officially a married man. The only problem is that he isn’t married to me. . . Addison Peacock has been stuck in the same seaside town her entire life. When her college boyfriend proposes the night before graduation, she can finally see the future she’d always dreamt about. But the sudden illness of her father causes her to put that future on hold, and her soon-to-be husband leaves, with nothing but a promise that one day he’ll return. Now, five years later, he’s kept that promise. There’s only one problem . . . he’s already married. Crushed twice by the same man, Addison needs a distraction, someone to get her back on her feet and mend her broken heart. As luck would have it, Damian Walker has just moved in next door. Having rebuilt his own life after a drunk driver stole his career, his heart . . . everything, Damian knows what it’s going to take to get Addison’s life back on track. But he’s not going to be anyone’s rebound. His life is complicated . . . there’s no room for one-night stands. Until Addison knows what she’s looking for, neighbors are all they’ll ever be. One shared wall, two sun-kissed balconies, and a chance at love…a twist of fate. Could the possibility of a future be right next door?

Sunny Side Up by Maureen K. Howard
Genre: Cozy Mystery
“Drink in one hand, credit card in the other, and everything else will sort itself out.” The school year is over and the article deadlines have been met, so best friends, Francie and June, ditch their business attire, grab their flip-flops, and head to the lake for some fun in the sun. Instead of enjoying a relaxing Memorial Day weekend at Kelleys Island on Lake Erie, this dynamic duo finds themselves in the middle of a murder investigation. They need to find out who burned down their friend’s store, discover the identity of the charred corpse found in the wreckage, and clear Francie’s husband, Hamm, before he is charged with the crime. Fueled up with their favorite snacks of wine and cheese, these adventure-loving ladies manage to keep their eyes open for a bargain, come up with a plan, and even indulge in a bit of romance, all while dodging increasingly dangerous attempts to silence them for good. Grab your sunglasses, your favorite cocktail, a copy of Sunny Side Up, and head to the lake with them for an unforgettable weekend adventure.

Calm Like Home by Kaisa Clark
Alexa Clausen has never fallen. She’s never soared. She’s lived her entire life floating midway between passion and despondency, never experiencing those extremes. But all it takes is one evening with Adam Westbrook to draw her out of her shell, to leave her feeling bold for the first time ever. He is fiery and magnetic. He is gravitational, that inescapable pull no one can avoid. After a few chance encounters, Alexa finally accepts that she can’t stay away, can’t deny the electricity she feels every time he comes around.
But as the intensity between them deepens, she also can’t avoid the subtle hints that Adam is hiding something. His wide smile and radiant eyes obscure some burning secret, some detail of his past that resurfaces to steal his joy. The farther Alexa falls, the more she realizes just how little she really knows about Adam and how far he is willing to go to cover up the truth.
Calm Like Home is a story about love and longing, growth and stagnation, discovering one’s counterpart but losing oneself, and ultimately finding that one person who truly has the power to change everything.

That sounds awesome, Penny! I hope you have a great first 4th of July here. 🙂
Any 4th of July plans or awesome picnic/BBQ recipes to share?
maybe some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, but most likely staying out of the heat
Staying out of the heat is always a good plan, Kelly! We will be keeping cool as well. Good luck in the giveaway!
We spend 4th of July at the local parade in town!
Sounds like a lot of fun, Marissa! I wish we had a parade through our town.
Usually just hang out on the 4th and enjoy a holiday. Can’t get too celebratory as my husband is Canadian! Sometimes we go into the hills to see the different fireworks displays over the SF Bay!
I bet fireworks over the SF Bay would be beautiful! Good luck in the giveaway.
I plan on staying home and watching fireworks on TV.
Hi Carol! That’s what we do – our favorite to watch is the Washington DC fireworks that they show on PBS, I think it’s called A Capitol Fourth. Much safer and cooler to stay in and watch. Good luck in the giveaway!
These sound like some interesting books.
I think so too, Fee! Good luck in the giveaway.
We spend the day in our little town, where they have food vendors and a parade my kids love. Then we watch the fireworks display after dark.
That sounds like a lot of fun, Claire! I wish we had a parade here. I bet my kiddos would love it, too. Have a happy 4th!

We are going to have a fun BBQ with our family & friends.
I will have a off work so that’ll be nice! Other than that I will just registering for classes and cleaning. 🙂
Google, Death By Chocolate! My mom makes this every holiday and it is a hit with everyone! I love the pickle wraps.
A BBQ with friends and then some fireworks watching.
Thanks for the contest.
We will have a big family cookout, and then I get to open presents, cause it is MY birthday.
We are keeping it simple this year, and only cooking outside. We’ve been working on making our yard beautiful, and I love spending time out there. Happy 4th to you!
we are spending the 4th swimming and cooking out
No 4th of July plans yet. I think I’ll just hang out with family and friends.
The 4th is my husband’s birthday so we always have a BBQ for family and friends and LOTS of fireworks.
We will be spending the day with friends at the lake and watching the fireworks
just a bbq, not going anywhere
We are going to have a BBQ with our family & friends
going to do family stuff but not till the 6th because my sister in law has to work.
I am a vegan so I don’t really like going to BBQs because even well-meaning friends that may even buy a box of veggie burgers still don’t know how to prepare them or don’t understand cross contamination so I end up having a very sad microwaved burger. When I host a BBQ, we don’t have burgers and hot dogs, my husband usually makes steak and chicken and sometimes even seafood and I have Garden steak tips with lots of veggies. We also grill corn on the cob. I think so many vegetables and even fruits taste better when you grill them.
On the 4th, I will be spending some quality time with my family and friends, grilling out and watching some fireworks.
Today I’ll be with my son and daughter in law for a barbeque. Can’t have a 4th of July without a cookout.
We just watched fireworks!! No other holiday plans this year!
