Okay moms (and dads…and grandparents 😉 )…back to school time is always a tough time of year for us, and I know I’m not the only one! Not only because of all the back to school expenses. We also have sports expenses (my older daughter runs cross country in the fall). My younger daughter is attending preschool this year, so we add on more clothes and supplies for her, plus her monthly tuition. Plus, my daughters both have their birthdays around this time of year (7/30 & 8/23). There are also school supply fees, fundraisers and school events. Back to school time can get out-of-control expensive very quickly. Each year, it seems like I just know I am not going to have any money from July through September lol. Usually by mid-October things settle down a bit – just in time for Christmas. What are your biggest expenses at back to school time?
