Hi everyone! Welcome to day one of the Blogging from A to Z challenge for April 2015. April 1st starts us out with letter A. My letter A is for Accountability. I’m wanting to run in 5k races this year. I’ve never been a runner in my life, so this is something new for me. My first 5k I’m hoping to run in takes place in June and is a race benefiting a local school for kids with autism. I’m doing the couch to 5k running program and I hit the gym last night to start working on it. I’m holding myself accountable by throwing it out here for everyone to know and making sure I consistently hit the gym or the pavement and get my body trained to run. My motivation for training is my kids. I want to be healthier and take care of myself better, and this is a great way to do that.
What do you hold yourself accountable for? Who is your motivation?
I recently discovered virtual races. My next one is during Boston and helps a hearing charity.
I made a list of 50 goals/things to do during my 50th year. Everything from losing 10% (twice) to shopping at Victoria’s Secret to hiking Red Rock Canyon (Nevada). My motivation is crossing all those off. I’m also Diabetic so getting healthy to avoid complications is vital. I want a long, active life with my husband and enjoy life during retirement.
Gina, #1390 right now. B will be up in 5 min.
Hi Gina! I have seen a few virtual races online, I’ll have to do one sometime soon. Good luck with your 50 during 50! I wish you lots of success and good health. 🙂
Good luck if you run the 5k!

Thank you! 🙂
Good luck with your training!
I have never been a runner either. But good luck to you. I am finding it hard to hold myself accountable for anything lately. Maybe doing the challenge will help.
