This is a sponsored post with Mums the Word Network and Amwell. All opinions are my own.
We live in a busy world. Between work and family obligations, it can be hard to find the time for a visit with the doctor. We all know that taking care of ourselves is important. If we’re not healthy, we can’t take care of anyone else. 🙂 Amwell can help make visiting a doctor fit into your schedule.
Amwell is accredited for online patient consults by the American Telemedicine Association. They offer many different types of providers, including primary care doctors, psychologists, dietitians, and even pediatricians. Many visits are available 24/7. You can use Amwell on your computer, or with the Amwell app on your tablet or smart phone. I was able to sign up in just a few minutes on my home computer. I then filled out my health profile. That saves me from having to go over the same information at every subsequent appointment. My health information is stored, safely and securely. It couldn’t be easier to set up an account and search for a provider. I browsed around the site and clicked on psychology. From there, I was able to see photos, names and titles of several providers in that field. Once I found a provider I was interested in, I clicked on her photo for a more in-depth description:

If a provider you are interested in is not available online, you can call 1-877-410-5548 to easily schedule an appointment. I really like having the opportunity to check out providers before deciding who I want to see. I can see their years of experience, read an intro directly from them, and see their areas of expertise. I liked also that the providers have been trained in telehealth practices. The site is easy to navigate. If you know how to ‘face time’ or chat on a webcam, you will have no trouble participating in a telemedicine appointment. Even if you are a beginner with using a webcam or video chatting through your phone or tablet, it is a simple process that you can easily follow along to. Amwell makes telemedicine easy for everyone to access. There is even an area on the website where you can click “Test My Computer” to make sure your computer is compatible.
Another great feature is that Amwell takes insurance. If you have insurance, your insurance provider (or, in some cases, your employer) may cover part or all of an Amwell visit. If you do not have insurance, Amwell has, in my opinion, very reasonable rates. The rates are clearly stated when you click a provider’s information.
He makes some great points. With many doctor appointments able to take place online, the future of your health is in your hands. Now you have no excuse for not scheduling an appointment. Amwell Makes Telemedicine Easy! You can have a doctor that works with your schedule. A doctor who is making time for your appointment, and yours alone.
Have you ever met with a doctor via telemedicine? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments.
