Are You Prepared for an Emergency or Disaster? @MBIntelNet #MySafeHome #MomBuzz

Are you prepared for an emergency or disaster? What would you do if you were a victim of flood, wildfire, earthquake, home invasion, or any other emergency or natural disaster? I wasn’t sure where I would fall on the spectrum of preparedness. I felt confident in some areas but not others. I found out that I am not nearly as prepared as I would like to be. Luckily, I was able to do a home risk analysis through MBIntel that gave me some idea of where I ranked. The home risk analysis took me about 15 minutes. The questions are straight forward questions about your home, the people you live with, and how prepared you are. MBIntel allows you to answer some basic questions and provides you with information that you would receive if you hired an expert in safety, security and emergency preparedness to visit your home. MBIntel was established by a group of safety and security professionals, and it shows in the home risk analysis tool. The free version of the home analysis provided me with a color coded analysis. See my results below:

I didn’t realize how below average I was in every sector. We live in an area that is prone to flooding, but not other natural disasters. Our area is not a high-crime area either. Still, the home risk analysis showed me that I really need to step up our safety and security. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to see a full-report by using the paid version of the MBIntel home risk analysis. I was able to see statistics and information on things that I can do improve my score and our safety, security and emergency preparedness. I was also able to really see where safety and security is lacking in our home.

How safe is your home? Have you taken the home risk analysis for yourself? I’ve felt that we could be better prepared for a natural disaster or safety/security issue, and the analysis solidified that for me. I know we will be working on doing what we can to be better prepared for any type of emergency. I don’t like feeling like I am unprepared to keep my family safe in every way that I can. We will be upgrading the equipment we are able to. I also want to work on formulating ‘survival’ plans for natural disasters or situations in which we need to be self-sufficient. I want us to be prepared for everything we can be.

So, Are You Prepared for an Emergency or Disaster? Will you be taking the home risk analysis? Do you have any tips or advice on how to be better prepared or more secure in your home? Please let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you and have your help in getting prepared for an emergency or disaster.
