Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men...

After years on the rodeo circuit, Gabe Bowden wants nothing more than land of his own and a woman who will claim his heart for more than one night. When he has the chance to buy the enormous Wolf Ranch spread, he snaps up the incredible deal. Everything is set, until Gabe rescues a woman on the deserted, snowy road leading to the property, and the half-frozen beauty changes everything.

Ella Wolf rushes to her family's abandoned Montana ranch after her twin sister is murdered. She knows she's next . . . unless she can uncover a secret hidden somewhere at Wolf Ranch. The last thing Ella expects is to be rescued by a rugged rancher with his own agenda. A man who almost makes her forget how dangerous love can be.

As an unlikely partnership sparks into something so much more, and a killer closes in, can Ella and Gabe learn to trust one another before it's too late?

bookreview
At Wolf Ranch by Jennifer Ryan is an amazing read from start to finish. Ella Wolf is on the run from her uncle, trying to find out what he has hidden that he was willing to kill over. Ella doesn’t anticipate the support she’ll receive from Gabe Bowden, a Montana rancher who recently purchased the family ranch from her uncle.

Ella is determined to finish what her twin sister Lela started. As the pieces begin to unravel, she finds out there’s more hidden than she could ever have imagined. Even with her grief over all she has lost, she gathers up her strength and digs into her uncle’s past and present business dealings.

Ella is an amazingly resilient character. She was so different than you would expect from someone with her money and connections. She proves she is not what she seems on the surface. I really liked her strength and determination.

Gabe rescues Ella from the side of the highway in a snowstorm and realizes that he doesn’t ever want to stop protecting her. When he finds out what Ella’s uncle has done to her, and also how he has destroyed Gabe’s dream of owning his own large ranching operation, Gabe vows to stop at nothing to help Ella get her justice.

Gabe and Ella had out of this world chemistry from the get go, and it just built and smoldered throughout the story. I love that! They were great together in so many ways and really complemented each other well. I absolutely loved Gabe and Ella and Gabe’s brothers. The author does a wonderful job with the settings in this story. I could truly picture myself on a ranch in Montana. The suspense and romance in this story are top notch and kept me entertained throughout. Gabe Bowden is my book boyfriend for sure…at least until I read the next story involving the Bowden brothers…then he might have some competition. 😉
