Do you feel comfortable enough approaching a stranger when you see he/she is reading a book to ask what they are reading?
Hmm. I had to really think about this one. Yes, I think for the most part I am comfortable approaching strangers about what they are reading. However, I work at a library, so I spend a good deal of my time talking to people about what they are reading or what I am reading. That definitely helps! 🙂 Now, outside of the library – I will approach someone if I see they are reading a book that interests me. I won’t just approach everyone I see with a book.
What about you? Let me know in the comments.

Although I have never approached anyone about what they were reading–I have been approached by others numerous times. I have no trouble speaking to strangers as long as it is on a one to one basis–Groups are a whole nother kettle of fish!

Yes, a group would definitely be hard to talk to about books. I have been approached a few times – usually, if I’m excited about what I’m reading, I end up talking about it without even being approached.

Oh I want to work at a library. That would be cool! Then I can approach anybody and ask what they’re reading 🙂 Thanks for dropping by my blog ♥

It is wonderful working at the library – it felt wonderful to receive a key to the library. 😀 You’re welcome!

I approach folks. Whenever I am on the train from Pittsburgh to New York to visit my son, I always find someone reading a book, and I strike up a conversation. It is always such fun.
ENJOY your weekend.
Happy Hopping!!

Hi Elizabeth! I actually live in Ohio, but the closest big city to me is Pittsburgh. 🙂 How fun – small world for sure. The train sounds like a great place to talk books! Thank you for stopping by & commenting!
