Bookish Memes 6/14

So, I’m a day off from the Friday memes…I totally wanted to post these on Friday, but I’ve been sidelined for a couple days with an earache that decided to manifest into a full-blown migraine for most of Friday. Fun…not! I finally recovered at about 3ish AM on Saturday, so here is my Friday meme post, affectionately titled Bookish Memes 6/14. 😉 I’d love for you to link up and join these fun hops! Feel free to leave your links in the comments below and I’ll stop by and check out your posts, too. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

This week’s question:

Do you think your blog reflects your personality? Does it show organization, a care-free style, or some other trait?

I think my blog definitely reflects my personality. The theme fits me perfectly. My blog showcases books that I love. It is, however, a lot more organized than my personal life. 🙂

Friday 56

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post in Linky (click the Friday 56 button). Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.

This week, my Friday 56 comes from The Lens and the Looker by Lory S. Kaufman. This is Book I of the Verona Trilogy, and I’m reading all 3 books for an upcoming blog tour.

“Maruccio, what have you done?” the Master shouted. “These were the Podesta’s discs for the eyes! What, what have you got to say for yourself?”

Feeling Beachie

The Follow Friday Four Fill-In Fun Blog Hop is hosted by Hilary at Feeling Beachie. Click the button above to visit this week’s post and add your post to the link! The statements are below, and my answers are the underlined portions. 🙂

The statements:

1) My migraine is gone! Yay!
2) Do you ever wonder if you are where you’re supposed to be in life?
3) When I relax my brain, it’s only because I’m sleeping.
4) The one food I only eat at a restaurant is spinach artichoke dip because it is so good!

    That 56 sounds good too.
Hope you’re head is feeling better, being a migraine sufferer myself I can empathize.

    Happy weekend!

  2. Hey Brooke! Having met you in real life I can definitely say it fits your personality! You’re absolutely a doll and sweet, plus you’re so happy and positive so the blog, the color scheme, and flowers on your banner is perfect!

  3. Hello, thanks for checking out my blog. I love the beachy feel of your book and how your header artwork blends into the rest of the background.

Nice choice for the 56; I want to know his response!

Never seen the fill in, will have to check it out.

  4. I had migraines on and off for years due to a medication. Thankfully I don’t have them anymore but I remember how debilitating they were. Glad you’re feeling better! I haven’t read the series but it definitely sounds interesting. Also it sounds like Maruccio is not in the best place!
