Book 2 of the Pixieland Diaries
Big news in Pixieland! The Blue Fairy is sending our fave pixie, Calla, and her crush, Dare, on a mini-quest. Unfortunately it’s an adventure that requires a lot of togetherness. We’re talking tons of touching, people.
Blue believes that since Calla and Dare are just friends, this situation shouldn’t be awkward.
It’s totally awkward.

A Day In The Life of Me, CALLA
By Calla, Star of CALLA (Book 2 in the Pixieland Diaries)
By now, you’ve probably heard about the launch of my latest diary, CALLA, which was proofread by the human author, Christina Bauer. The book is named after moi because I’m awesome like that. And as part of the book’s launch tour, the lovely folks at Brooke Blogs have asked me to share about my day.
What a great idea! I am a powerful fairy and fascinating person in general.
My day begins when I wake up. Now, I was raised as a pixie and my kind don’t like mornings. Turns out, my heritage is a little more complicated than simple pixiedom. Still, mornings can kiss my fairy butt.
Once I eventually get up, I ensure that I look fabulous. This doesn’t take much time because I’m naturally gorgeous: pink hair and matching wings, curvy body, and violet eyes. I don’t even have to cast a spell for my loveliness to shine forth.
After that, I hang with my adopted parents, Poppa and Muti, for a bit. My parents are tree sprites who come to about ankle height on yours truly. They’ve got silver hair and matching robes as well as… wait for it… all their teeth. That’s a big deal when you’re forty thousand years old.
Next I fly over to the Pixieland Citadel to hang with my friend Bilge the hobgoblin. Although Bilge is an expert in brewing potions, his organizational skills suck. On a typical day, I might help him shelve his little vials of magical goodness.
All this time, I will not obsess about my best friend, Prince Dare. I don’t think about how cute he is, what with his muscly form, long hair and intense eyes. I certainly don’t obsess about Dare’s next visit.
So you know, my relationship with Dare goes through some major changes over the course of this book. MIND SHATTERING! Is it mean of me to tease that out and not tell you anything? Sure, but that’s what we fairies do—act like mean mean mean meanies. Mwah hah hah.
Well, there you have it! My day. You’re welcome.
