I have always lived in Leavensport. This place is home to me. My sister, Delilah, lives here, too. She’s a knucklehead, but I love her. There were some rough patches a few years ago with the two of us, but she and I are getting along a lot better lately. See, a while back, I had a huge crush on this girl … but what I didn’t realize was this girl was more interested in my sister Delilah than in me. I didn’t handle it very well. I realize that now. But Delilah and Ava are a great couple, and we have all become good friends. Ava co-owns Cast Iron Creations, a restaurant in the village, with her BFFfriend Jolie. Now that is some good eats! You should stop by if you are ever in town.
Delilah has an art shop and an art gallery. She teaches art classes at the shop. She is really talented–but don’t tell her I said that.
I’m more of a tech geek. People come to me if they need help with their computers or televisions or audio equipment. I think of it is as a hobby, plus, I like helping people.
I work at the local newspaper, The Village Herald, on the online edition, now that Lou—er—well, that’s an entire story in itself—check out Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread Murder to find out what happened to my previous boss. I know everything that happens in this village. It’s my job. And I gotta say, in the past few years, things have changed. There have been murders, crimes, and mysterious things going on around here. I don’t want to see my hometown turn into a dangerous place. To be honest, it’s kind of getting me down.
I have also been pretty glum lately because I found out that my girlfriend–well, ex-girlfriend–Lydia is pregnant, and it isn’t mine. She won’t tell me whose it is. But we are over, that’s for sure. And of course, in such a small village, gossip travels fast. If I ever run into the guy she was fooling around with … I would probably punch that guy in the face right there on the sidewalk!
There are some good-looking, single women in Leavensport. Maybe I’ll try the dating scene again sometime soon. Wish me luck!
