Fun in the Sun Reading Challenge #FunInTheSunRC

Fun in the Sun Reading Challenge #FunInTheSunRC

I’m so excited to find out about the Fun in the Sun Reading Challenge, hosted by Whole Latte Books! You can click the picture above or here to get more information and to sign up. The challenge runs from May 1, 2016 – August 31, 2016. I love the idea of this challenge, there are so many ways you can read for it:

Books may be any genre but must have a fun in the sun theme, a cover with these elements on it, or something in the title that is about the theme. This includes everything associated with spring and summer such as weddings, swimming pools, the ocean, beaches, lounge chairs, flowers, sunglasses, palm trees, vacations, the …

Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon – April 23, 2016 #readathon @readathon

I’m so excited that it’s almost time for the Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon! What is it? Just what it sounds like: reading as much as you can for 24 hours. There are fun mini challenges, a Facebook group, a Goodreads group, Twitter cheerleaders, and so much more. I work tomorrow from 8:30-2:00, but I will be reading as much as possible after stopping at the store for snacks and getting home. I’ll try to update this blog post with progress, but I’ll mostly be posting on Instagram and Twitter. Click and follow me to check out my #readathon progress! Let me know in the comments if you’re participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon tomorrow. Be …

How to Share with a Bear by Eric Pinder – Toddler Time Review + Activity

How to Share with a Bear by Eric Pinder – Toddler Time Review + Activity

How to Share with a Bear by Eric Pinder
Illustrated by Stephanie Graegin

The perfect thing to do on a chilly day is to make a blanket cave. But, of course, a comfy cave never stays empty for too long…What’s a boy to do when a bear takes over his cave? Try to distract him with a trail of blueberries? Some honey? A nice long back scratch?

How to Share with a Bear is a story about how although it’s not always easy, sharing with a sibling can make things even more fun!
Amazon

How to Share with a Bear by Eric Pinder is a beautifully illustrated tale of learning to share and getting along with your siblings. Thomas wants nothing more than …

I Love Libraries Reading Challenge 2016

I Love Libraries Reading Challenge 2016

Bea at Bea’s Nook is hosting the I Love Libraries Reading Challenge 2016 and I’m so excited to sign up! I work at the public library, so of course I am a huge fan of libraries and everything they stand for. I love checking out books, movies, and audiobooks. One of my fondest memories of growing up was when I was finally old enough to ride my bike to the library on my own. Oh, it was so wonderful to be able to access a world of materials whenever I wanted. I’m going to go for the highest level of this challenge – Just Insert IV – 50 Items. Anything that can be checked out of the …

I Love Picture Books Reading Challenge 2016

I Love Picture Books Reading Challenge 2016

As soon as I saw this challenge at Bea’s Book Nook, I knew I had to sign up. 🙂 I have a 4 year old daughter and we read a lot of picture books together. I’m also the teen & children’s program specialist at our local public library. I do a toddler time and a preschool storytime each week. So I spend a good deal of time reading picture books. 🙂 I’m going to challenge myself pretty high on this one with 52 picture books.
