One small town. Three close friends. True love to last a lifetime.

Voted Most Likely to Succeed, Melanie Bartlett ended up anything but. The down-on-her-luck single mom wants a complete do-over—is that too much to ask? With her family long gone from River Bend, strong, independent Mel is as surprised as anyone to end up in the quaint small town she once called home. But with her friends, Jo and Zoe, by her side, and a comfortable room at Miss Gina’s quirky bed-and-breakfast, she just might have turned the corner on a new life.

Wyatt Gibson never liked the big city. River Bend suits the ruggedly handsome builder just fine. Wyatt knows he’s home, even if that means being charmed by the appearance of Melanie and her spunky, adorable daughter. Is Wyatt’s calm devotion—even amid a coming storm—enough to convince Mel she may have found a home to call her own, a family that never leaves, and a true love to last a lifetime?

bookreview
Doing It Over by Catherine Bybee is the first book in the Most Likely To Series. I absolutely loved it. This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Bybee (I know…what is wrong with me?!) but it definitely won’t be the last.

Melanie is headed back to the small town she escaped from for her high school reunion. But her life hasn’t exactly gone according to plan. She had to drop out of college, she’s a single mom, and she is afraid of taking chances. Coming back to River Bend feels like finally coming home. Wyatt moved to River Bend to pursue life as a contractor in a small town.

This is the perfect example of why I love small-town romance. The setting was spot on. Catherine paints a picture of an ideal small town in River Bend. The characters were fantastic – I loved the unique personalities and quirky characters that make River Bend sound like a place I’d like to visit.

If you love fun, small-town romances that make your heart smile, I highly recommend Doing It Over by Catherine Bybee. I loved the characters, setting and dialogue of the story. I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
