Parajunkee and Alison Can Read host a fun Friday meme where book bloggers can make friends and follow each other. 🙂 I’m excited to meet some new bloggers with this week’s Feature and Follow! There’s also a fun question. See below for my answer. For more information about the Feature and Follow, click the banner at the top of this post. Be sure to visit the lovely hosts and follow them as well.
This Week’s Question:
Do you read more than 1 book at a time, and if so, how, like a certain amount of pages per book before moving on to the next one in the queue? – via Words I Write Crazy
My Answer:
I didn’t use to read more than 1 book at a time. But now, with so many amazing books available in so many formats, as well as review books I receive, I have to read more than one at a time. It’s the only way I can attempt to keep up. Though I’m usually still behind anyway. I try to read books that are not in the same genre to try to make sure I don’t mix up story lines or characters. I don’t necessarily read a certain amount of pages before moving to the next one, it just depends what I’m interested in reading at the moment.
What about you? Do you read more than one book at a time? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Fari @My Little Corner of Books
That’s exactly like me! Before blogging I couldn’t read 2 books at a time. However, now I usually read 2 books are a time, sometimes even 3! They’re usually in different formats, ebooks, audiobooks, print, and one is usually for review while the other is whatever I please! 😀

That is very talented of you! I get confused if I try to read more than one book at a time. So I speed read instead! I completely understand about having a hard time keeping up. I feel like I’m drowning in books I’ve received!

Hi Pearl! I try reading faster sometimes and I always end up having to re-read what I just read because I end up missing something. Or I get to the end of the page and realize I have no idea what I just read lol. Following you as well~thank you so much for coming by!
Suz @ A Soul Unsung
Don’t I know what you mean, exactly! It’s incredibly hard to keep up with the reading schedule that I have, if I’m not reading more than one book at a time (mostly two because it’s harder for me to read more than that and not get distracted or confused) when it comes books that I have on my shelves and also review books that I receive both in physical and eGalley format! 🙂
Happy Reading and Hopping Through! 🙂

Definitely – I will never read everything I want to read unless I at least try to read more than one at a time. 🙂 Following you via bloglovin’ and checking out your FF post now.
Aizel @ One Page at a Time
Same here! But I do it mostly when one book gets a bit boring. 🙂

I usually read 2/3 books at a time, but it depends on my review schedule and whether I’m enthusiastic about a book or not. I can easily finish a book I love in one evening 🙂

Hi Kirsty~I can finish a book in a day if I’m totally into it and I don’t have a lot of distractions, like kids or work. 😉 Off to check out your post and follow you, too!
Marsha
I am such a mood reader. I usually have 2 or 3 books going at once. My NetGalley and Kindle TBR pile keeps me reading and I’ll toss in one for pure pleasure. When I just cannot read one book a moment longer (often characters annoy me) I’ll switch to another, usually in a different genre. It sounds silly, but I do keep notes on books so I don’t forget something important for a review.

Hi Marsha! I do that, too – keep notes on what I’m reading. I bought Parajunkee’s awesome book blogger organizer this year, and I love the book review cheat sheet in the kit. It is awesome for keeping myself on track with what’s happening in what book. Off to follow you & check out your blog post. 🙂
Kate @If These Books Could Talk
Mixing up genres if you multi-task your reading is essential to not getting mixed up. I have 3-4+ on the go at any one time and they’re never similar.

Switching genres sounds like a good way not to get mixed up when writing reviews. New bloglovin follower

Here’s my F&F!
Brooke
Hi Tracy – I think that all the time: I’ll never read everything I want to, so I try to read as much as I can at the same time. Going to follow you and check out your post as well.

I am the same. Before blogging, I used to only read one book at a time, but since then I usually am reading at least 2 books. One ebook and one physical book. Great answer!

Hi Teresa! Thank you for visiting my blog. It would be great to listen to audiobooks at work! 🙂 I work at the library, so I’m surrounded by books all day but I can’t read them. I have at least 2 going at the same time as well. Going to check out your FF post and follow you.

The genre thing is a good idea. Might have to try that. I do it to a certain extent, but I’m not super careful about it. Great idea! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
