From the moment that you are brought into the book you will be immediately part of the western romance in the middle of the south. The Fires of Love & Hate Series will keep you right in the middle of a tale that is based on some true and historical events. This Historical Romance series is sure to be you're new favorite.

Forced to Love by Sky Alexander is the first in the Fires of Love & Hate historical romance series. I was really intrigued by the synopsis and wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this story. I was happily surprised with an interesting, inspirational and entertaining story that had me turning page after page. Hattie is such a remarkable character, and I just love that she is a strong female even at such a young age. I really like that the story is based in part on true events. Hattie sounds like an amazing woman, and I think the stories really do her justice. I cannot wait to read the rest of the stories in this series.
The story is intriguing from start to finish. The characters are really neat and there were some I loved and some I hated. Sky describes the time period and the settings very well and paints a great picture of life in this time period. I really felt transported to Silver Creek mansion, and I wanted to be there! There were times I felt like the story was off track a bit, but it quickly got back on track. I enjoyed this one and will be on the lookout for the next book as well. If you enjoy historicals that have some romance (but aren’t totally overshadowed by it) then Forced to Love by Sky Alexander is one you may enjoy as well.
