Welcome to The Friday 56
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.
56% in my ARC copy of The One & Only by Emily Giffin:
“I love this song,” Coach said just as Garth wailed: But I can’t walk away from you.
He gave me a purposeful look that made me feel exactly the way Garth sounded in that song. Down on my knees and shameless.
Sounds charged and full of subtleties. Enjoy your weekend 🙂
I think it’s fun when an author ties a scene to a song’s lyrics. I’m curious about what’s making the character feel shameless.
Here’s the link to my Friday post: THE DOCTOR’S INDISCRETION.
Sounds like a sweet read!
Love the new layout and design of your blog too!
Happy weekend!
Oh wow, I wonder what is going on in this teacher-student relationship! And I think we all know that student who manages to belt out a song without any shame and not look like an idiot! I really like the cover for this one, simple but nice! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend!

Wow! Fabulous excerpt. Now I really want to read it.
Thanks for visiting The Busy Mom’s Daily.
That was neatly done on the author’s part, using the song to underscore what’s going on.
Love the cover art and I can imagine that purposeful look!
I’ve never read any Griffin before but I know people who love her. I’ll definitely have to give this book a try. Thanks for sharing!
