Super excited I stumbled across the Seasons of Reading blog and found out about the FrightFall Read-a-Thon. Yay read-a-thons! I love that there are seasonal read-a-thons, and this one sounds like a lot of fun. The one main guideline that must be followed is that you read ONE scary book. It can be mystery, thriller, horror, gothic, etc. Other than that, you can read what you like and just enjoy the read-a-thon! No pressure – but lots of fun reading! My tentative reading plan follows, though I tend to deviate from my planned reads or add additional books.
My #FrightFall requirement:
Mojave Green by The Brothers Washburn
Dimensions in Death: Book 2
Juvenile Fiction/Horror
Publication Date: October 7, 2014
Format: ARC Paperback
In Trona, California, an isolated mining town deep in the Mojave Desert, an unearthly creature preyed upon the town’s folk for decades. Armed with secrets from a peculiar puzzle box, only Camm and Cal stood against the creature. Finally safe and far from the horror, the teenagers believe they have destroyed the monster—until they hear news that Trona’s children are still disappearing. Caught in the nightmare since her childhood, Camm feels personally responsible for the town’s children. As her life-long best friend, Cal feels responsible for Camm. With unsuspecting friends in tow, they return to warn the innocent people of Trona of the true nature of the creature.
But things have changed.
Death comes in a new form. The balance between dimensions is altered. Crossovers multiply. Trona is evacuated. Cal is pulled into another dimension. The situation spirals out of control.
Only Camm and a few misfits can stop the coming desolation—but it may already be too late.
Other books I am planning to read this week:
The Big Disrupter by Paul Markun
Passion Blue by Victoria Strauss
Color Song by Victoria Strauss
I’m sure I’ll read or listen to some other books as well. I am sometimes bad at posting an update post, but I will try to post one midweek and/or at the end of the read-a-thon. Are you signing up for this fun read-a-thon? CLICK HERE to sign up! Comment below and let me know if you’re participating! I’d love to swing by and support you during the FrightFall Read-A-Thon.

Ahhh! I WISH I could participate in this read-a-thon but I’ll hardly have a moment to myself this week! I love October, though, and plan on reading as many spooky books as possible this month!
Happy Reading! 🙂
