My Thoughts

I received both Cowabunga Christmas! and Gnarly New Year by Anna Celeste Burke for review. I enjoyed each story! They were fun cozy mysteries with a great beachy vibe. I was able to relate to the characters from the start and it made it a lot of fun to follow along with them and solve the mysteries. The holiday twists to the stories make them that much more enjoyable. I love holiday themed stories. I didn’t want to put these books down. I was glad that I had Gnarly New Year to dive into right after finishing Cowabunga Christmas!. I am looking forward to more in the Corsario Cove series.

  1. Thanks so much for hosting Gnarly New Year and for the awesome review of Kim and Brien’s most excellent adventures. I hear the two of them cheering–and telling me to get to work writing the next mystery so they can share that one, too.

  2. The first book I ever read by this author was Cowabunga Christmas and I was hooked. I was so excited to read the other books and meet Brien and then Kim and see how they met and what they were like before. All of her books are great. So happy I found this author.

  3. Fall totally means to me time to read holiday themed books. I start with the scary stuff and slide right into Christmas. Since I live in Alaska I am already into fall. I woke up to ice on the car windows already. I just got Happy Homicides 2 and am excited to read it. I am looking forward to Cowabunga Christmas and Gnarly New Year. This is my favorite time of the year! I have a slow cooker for soups and chilies. I wear comfy clothes and read, read, read with the wind shrieking at times and rain or snow falling other times. It has been rainy and windy so perfect time for Happy Homicides or Jessica! Thank you for the giveaway! Good luck to everyone!

  4. I LOVE holiday theme books. I got Anna Celeste Burke’s newsletter for the first time today. Her books appeal to me greatly!
