My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good as Gone by Amy Gentry is a fast-paced read. The first part of the book, I was totally sucked in~I didn’t want to put it down until I finished. Around a third of the way into the story, things seemed to get confusing. There were chapters interspersed that were told from differing points of view. I struggled a bit through the middle of the book because of this~however, I still wanted to finish the book. The last part of the book was really well done. I liked how the story unfolded, and we were able to understand it more layer by layer. The book felt a little off-balance because some of it was graphic, and parts I expected to be graphic, weren’t. The novel was not nearly as intense as I thought it would be.

I checked this book out of the library because it sounded like a great book for a long weekend. I was right!

Purchase Good as Gone by Amy Gentry at Amazon. (It’s on sale for just $2.99 as of 9/5/16; well worth that price, in my opinion.)
