My Thoughts
Grave Consequences is the fifth book in this cozy mystery with light paranormal elements. This delightful series is set in Bay Island, a little town just a ferry ride from Long Island. Cass and Bee are two of my favorite cozy mystery characters. Bee is larger than life and full of personality. He cares deeply for his friends and always has me saying “awwww” or laughing out loud. Cass is smart and determined. Even when she doesn’t understand her psychic abilities, she still tries her best to help the people who need helping.
I really enjoyed that this book centered around the Bay Island Lighthouse. It was a way for us to visit somewhere new on the island which was exciting. Ms. Gregory does a nice job of keeping the pace in the story and the mystery was interwoven in a way that had me not sure whodunit. Those are both signs of a great book for me. If I could give this one more than 5 stars, I would. 🙂 I have been a fan of this series since book one and I was thrilled to see that it was continuing. I’m not ready to let Cass, Bee, and the other residents of Bay Island go just yet.

Lena Gregory is the author of the Bay Island Psychic Mysteries, which take place on a small island between the north and south forks of Long Island, New York, the All-Day Breakfast Café Mysteries, which are set on the outskirts of Florida’s Ocala National Forest, and the Puzzle Solvers Mysteries, which take place in a small town on eastern Long Island.
