Harry Potter Winter Re-Read/Readalong – Sign Up Post #hpreadalong

Posted by Brooke in Uncategorized / 12 Comments

Okay – I have loved Harry Potter since I first picked up Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling in the late 90s. This series has everything. It’s magic, it’s relationships, it’s thrilling drama, action and adventure. The fabulous Sheila from Book Journey is hosting a winter re-read/readalong of the Harry Potter series. Woohoo! 😀 I jumped right on this exciting journey and can’t wait to read through all these books with a bunch of other Potterheads. 🙂 I also consulted the sorting hat (sort of – via this quiz) and will be reading for Gryffindor!

I borrowed the ebook from the library and started reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone yesterday evening. I’m about 20% through already. It feels like I’m reading it for the first time. I’m just as excited as I was then! I’m really having a great time and loving re-reading this awesome series. Want to join us? Visit Sheila’s sign up post here for all the details. Let me know in the comments if you’re participating in the Harry Potter Winter Re-Read/Readalong! I’d love to visit your posts and cheer you on. 🙂

I’m starting the first book now, and I haven’t read HP in three years. All the same, I know I’m going to love Harry Potter all over again 🙂

    Happy reading!

I started my third re-read of *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone* yesterday! Even though my last re-read was earlier this year, I’m still shocked at some of the details that I had missed!

    Go Gryffindor! 🙂

I’m little over halfway through the first book now. I’m trying to savor it, so I’m reading a few chapters everyday instead of blazing through it like I want to. It’s definitely one of the best series for re-reading, because it’s always fun no matter how many times you read the same scenes.
