He Did You a Favor: A Smart Girl’s Guide to Breaking Up, Waking Up, and Discovering the Gift of YOU by Debra Rogers
Some guy has taken a giant sledgehammer to your heart and you have to clean up the mess. You hurt, big-time. You feel alone, scraping for answers in the bottom of your third tub of “Chocolate Therapy” ice cream. You think you’ll never find anyone as good as he was, e-ver. But what if… he did you a favor? He Did You a Favor is an empowering, humorous, hands-on guide with straight talk and advice to help you break away from Mr. So Very Wrong and break through to the life you desire.
I wasn’t quite sure what to think when I signed up through BookSparks to read and review He Did You a Favor by Debra Rogers. I am not usually a big reader of self-help books. I’m not going through a break-up right now, but I think Debra Rogers has really written a gem. Right from the beginning, I found myself comparing the info Debra gives to past break-ups. She is spot-on. The book is humorous when it needs to be but really supportive. I love the little activities to help you move on and discover YOU. I really enjoyed the tips throughout.
This is a great self-help book that isn’t just telling you tired old advice that you don’t need. It’s modern, it’s fun, and it really includes some awesome advice. It’s fresh, it’s relevant and it’s worth picking up! I’ll be hanging onto this book in case I ever need to reference it again, or share it with a girlfriend.
