High & Low Calendar Review

Disclosure: This is a sponsored review with Mums the Word Blogger Network and Blickenstaff’s. All opinions are my own.

H&L1The High & Low Calendar from Blickenstaff’s is the next great dinner game. The High & Low Calendar is a weekly discussion record that lets your family talk about the high and low points of their days. It also has 52 unique discussion prompts to encourage more in depth discussion. This is a great way to not only get talking as a family, but creates a wonderful keepsake for you to look back on. The High & Low Calendar is very simple to use. Directions from the website:

1. Pass the calendar around the table at dinner.

2. Record each person’s high and low moment of the week.

3. Use the questions on the back to prompt further conversation and record memorable answers for future enjoyment.

I love that you can use it any time. You don’t need to be having a fancy dinner party or everyone dressed in their Sunday best. The High & Low Calendar fits right in to our regular family dinners and everyone has fun answering questions together. My older daughter likes being able to write her own answers in. My three year old always tells me she had a good day. 🙂 I like that it stimulates conversations that keep us talking and laughing throughout the evening. The High & Low Calendar is well-made and the paper is thick like card stock. We like writing in ours with a fancy gel pen. It’s really fun to write in what we ate for our meal during our discussion as well.

There have been a couple of times where we used the calendar more than once in a week – it is so much fun for all of us, we don’t always want to wait a week before we do it again! We also have used the High & Low Calendar in the evening at snack time. We just write in our snack and do our journaling. I know the High & Low Calendar is something I am going to cherish as a mom. Time is something you can’t get back, and I’ll take all the reminders of special moments with my little ones that I can get. <3 I think one of the best parts about the High & Low Calendar is that it is something we will keep using in some capacity. We all enjoy it and it helps us take time to focus on family and slow down from our busy lives to just be with each other. H&L2The High & Low Calendar is available on Blickenstaff’s website and it retails for $28.00. You receive the High & Low Calendar (52 page journal with prompts), printed canvas bag, instructions & an heirloom storage tin. In my opinion, this is worth it. You can’t put a price on family time, and this really encourages time together. It is a quality product, with thick, beautiful pages and a sturdy cover that will last for a long time. Do you use any family dinner conversation starters or items? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to learn more about your family dinner routines!

I apologize for stock photos – my camera is acting up and I can’t get my pictures of the calendar off of it at the moment.
