My Thoughts

Murder on the Lake of Fire by Mikel J. Wilson is the first book in the Mourning Dove Mysteries series. This was a suspenseful read with engaging characters that kept me reading. I loved that there were so many possibilities for suspects so it had me guessing until the end. Emory Rome is a character that I instantly liked and I wanted to know just as much about him as I did the mystery. I also enjoyed the relationship aspect of the story. This is a series that I will keep reading.
