A Vintage Death by Mary Ellen Hughes

A Vintage Death by Mary Ellen Hughes

My Thoughts

A Vintage Death by Mary Ellen Hughes is the second book in the Keepsake Cove mystery series. I adored the first book and was so excited for this one to come out. In this installment, Callie is trying to figure out who wanted a local B&B owner dead – suspicion is on his estranged wife, but Callie knows Dorothy is innocent. She sets out (along with a visiting author, Lyssa) to prove Dorothy is innocent and track down the real killer. A Vintage Death has a great balance of time spent visiting with the characters we know and love in Keepsake Cove, and sleuthing out the mystery with Callie. I felt that the clues were presented in such …

A Christmas Peril by J.A. Hennrikus

A Christmas Peril by J.A. Hennrikus

A Christmas Peril by J.A. Hennrikus is the first book in the Theater Copy Mystery series. Our main character, Sully, used to be a police officer, but now manages a theater in her hometown. It might be peach pie in Georgia, where peaches are easy to grow, apple or cherry up north where the trees need that winter chill. My friend from Kazakhstan bakes darling apple turnovers she learned to make with her grandmother. In other countries, you’d be offered a fruit tart or a stuffed dumpling.

And whether we’re a local or a visitor, when we spot that treat, our faces light up. We feel connected. Nurtured. In the French countryside or an …

The Animals of Barton Farm
By Amanda Flower

I am an animal lover, so it would be impossible for me to write a novel and not have at least a few animal characters in it. Thankfully, The Final Vow has plenty of animal characters to entertain readers and myself. Writing the Living History Museum Mystery Series has been so much fun because it takes place on a living history farm, and as a result, there are many animals who appear throughout the series to make Kelsey Cambridge’s life as the Director of Barton Farm a little more exciting and a lot more frustrating.

Here are the animals to lookout for in The Final Vow:

Frankie: Hayden’s (Kelsey’s son’s) one-eyed …
