Rogues & Rascals in Goose Pimple Junction by Amy Metz
Goose Pimple Junction Mysteries Book 4
Like any good Southern belle, Caledonia Culpepper was raised by her mama to be gracious, charming, witty, and above all, a devoted mother and loving wife, so she’s baffled when her marriage falls apart.
Wynona Baxter is a master of disguise but is often a ditzy airhead. A hit woman wannabe, when she’s hired for her first job in Goose Pimple Junction and things don’t go as planned, she’s forced to resort to Plan B. She’ll also need Plan C and D.
Crooked lawyers, restless husbands, a teenaged hoodlum – it seems there are rogues and rascals everywhere you look in Goose Pimple Junction.
When Caledonia and Wynona’s paths cross, they prove there isn’t a rogue or a rascal who can keep a good woman down. Mama always said there would be days like this . . .

1) What does your writing area look like?
I write on a laptop, so I can write anywhere I want. I have a home office, but I usually write in a comfy chair in my bedroom. In the wintertime I’ll have a fire going in the fireplace. In the summertime, I sit by the window.
2) If you could write from anywhere in the world, where would you write from?
I would write in the upstairs room at the Stockbridge Library in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. I was lucky to be able to do that for a few weeks for two summers, and it remains my all time favorite writing space. Beyond that, my dream office would be a room full of windows that overlooked the ocean, mountains, or woods.
3) You get to have dinner with one of your characters! Who do you choose, why, and what’s for dinner?
I would choose Louetta because she’s funny, wise, and loving. There’s never a dull moment when Lou is around. I would learn a lot from her and have fun doing it. And hands down, we would have fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn pudding, cornsticks, chocolate pie, and sweet tea.
4) What do you like to have to drink and snack on while you write, if anything?
I love sweet tea—hot or cold—or Joe Peach Tea when I can get it. Snacks vary from M&Ms to Goldfish crackers to jelly beans to cashews to chocolate covered raisins.
5) Have you read any good books lately that you would like to recommend?
I’d recommend The Dolan Girls by S.R. Mallery and Vamps, Villains and Vaudeville by Ellen Mansoor Collier.
6) What would you be doing if you weren’t an author?
I would be very bored.
7) Sum up your latest book in 2 sentences or less.
Mama always said “If there are tires or testicles, there’s gonna be trouble.” But Caledonia and Wynona never met a challenge they couldn’t handle.
8) Finally, what are you currently working on?
Lately, I’ve been working on promoting Rogues & Rascals, but I’ve started writing GPJ5, and I’m anxious to get into it. The other night, a new character introduced himself to me. I love when that happens!
