My Thoughts
Spell Booked by Joyce and Jim Lavene is an awesome start to a new cozy series. I fell in love the moment I saw this gorgeous, magical cover with cats, potions, a cauldron and more. This story was magical right from the beginning. I loved the characters and the mystery itself was well-written and kept me guessing until the end. This is a series that is going on my auto-buy list. The characters, settings and the fun magical elements make the Retired Witches Mystery series one that I will Light the lamp! and stay up late to read.
