Exclusive Excerpt

I nodded as I felt the last bit of him heal and only my white glowing eyes reflected in his crystal-clear blue eyes. I withdrew my magic, and immediately I toppled onto my side on the floor from weakness. I used too much of my magic. Everyone crowded around me, concerned.

“Ya…Yarin,” I breathed as darkness pulsated in my vision. “Go back to your cell, quickly. I can’t keep the hole there.”

He gave me a quick kiss on my lips and went as quickly as he could, back through the hole into his cell. In the same instant I closed the hole, I heard footsteps in the hallway.

I gasped, “Everyone…get back to your chains…now!”

“He’ll suspect something if he sees you like this!” Ortheldo whispered fiercely. Before I could protest, he was attempting to lift me up onto my feet.

“Go to your chains!” I whispered just as fiercely back at him.

Ortheldo ignored me. He stood up with one of my arms draped around his neck, the other hanging limply at my side. I couldn’t stand. My legs were useless. The footsteps were closer! They were almost here!

Ortheldo. My heart started pounding. He was going to be caught!

About the Author

Nichelle Rae, fantasy’s newest author, was born and raised in Massachusetts. Her love for writing began when she was 14 years old and she wrote short stories about meeting her favorite music group. She received so much praise and complements on her writing ability that it quickly became a passion of hers. Throughout the years she has gotten much praise from peers, professors, and professional author’s she’s had a chance to work with about her writing and ability to put emotions into text.

The White Warrior Series is her debut fantasy series she’s publishing as an independent author which will consist of seven books total. Nichelle already has begun three more fantasy series that she hopes to publish in the future after The White Warrior Series.
