The Corpse with the Platinum Hair by Cathy Ace – ARC Review + Giveaway

The Corpse with the Platinum Hair by Cathy Ace – ARC Review + Giveaway

The Corpse with the Platinum Hair by Cathy Ace is the fourth book in one of my favorite series, the Cait Morgan mystery series. Cait Morgan is a criminologist who always ends up wrapped up in a mystery. The mystery is very well written and I found myself not sure whodunit til the reveal at the end. This is really a fantastic series. The characters are interesting, the mysteries are intriguing, and the settings are fun. The Cait Morgan books are on my auto-buy list. They are that good! I love that the story is so different and unique – I always know that I am going to get a great mystery unlike any I’ve read before. …

The Wedding Soup Murder by Rosie Genova – Review + Giveaway

The Wedding Soup Murder by Rosie Genova is the second book in the Italian Kitchen Mystery series. I haven’t read the first book yet, but definitely plan on it after getting to read the second one. This book is great! I love the Italian settings, descriptions, characters and speech. Vic is an awesome character. She was someone that I just felt drawn to right from the beginning of the story. The Wedding Soup Murder by Rosie Genova is so good. A well-written, enjoyable cozy mystery that had me hungry for more. This is an author that I will be on the lookout for. The Italian recipes included at the back of the book sound scrumptious.

Undertaking Irene by Pamela Burford – Review, Interview + Giveaway

Undertaking Irene by Pamela Burford – Review, Interview + Giveaway

1) Where do you like to write?
A busy broad like me? It’s wherever I can scrounge up a computer, legal pad, store receipt, or cocktail napkin to jot on. Hey, give me a patch of untattooed flesh and a Sharpie, and I’m good to go.

2) What is a day in the life of an author like?
At 10:30 am on the dot, my devoted monkey butler Horace wakes me with breakfast in bed, before drawing my bubble bath. I spend the rest of the day cuddling Murray the Wonder Poodle (the real-life model for Sexy Beast in Undertaking Irene), entertaining visiting dignitaries, sipping champagne and nibbling on bonbons, and, oh yeah, writing.
Okay, seriously? I have a day job …

Murder at Cold Creek College by Christa Nardi – Review + Giveaway

Murder at Cold Creek College by Christa Nardi – Review + Giveaway

Murder at Cold Creek College by Christa Nardi is the first in a cozy series set in Cold Creek. Prior to the start of a new school year, there is a murder of a psychology staff member. Sheridan Hendley, psychologist and professor at Cold Creek College, is tasked with taking the detective around to interview staff members. Her curiosity is piqued and without meaning to, she become an amateur sleuth. Granny Skewers a Scoundrel by Julie Seedorf – Review, Guest Post, Giveaway

Granny Skewers a Scoundrel by Julie Seedorf is the second in the Fuchsia Minnesota mystery series and it is a ton of fun. Granny is a spry, sassy little rascal and she makes me laugh out loud. She is old and she knows it, but she doesn’t let that stop her from trying to solve crimes in her town. The characters and scenes are quite colorful and enjoyable. I look forward to reading lots more adventures with Granny. She is too fun!

I have always had an active imagination. Deep in the recesses of my brain there is something that triggers an intrigue in the thought of hidden doors, hidden rooms and hidden tunnels in houses. Along with …

Lost Then Found by Christina Freeburn is the first book in the inspirational romantic suspense series New Beginnings. They are both stubborn and have a difficult time forgiving and letting themselves move forward and work together. They have to work together in order to save Glory, a young girl who is being targeted by her uncle for stealing a check worth half a million dollars.
