Cure For the Common Breakup by Beth Kendrick – Book Review #SRC2014

Cure For the Common Breakup by Beth Kendrick – Book Review #SRC2014

Cure for the Common Breakup by Beth Kendrick is a story that runs the gamut of feelings, but still manages to be a light-hearted read. This is a fabulous summer/beach read. Right from the beginning of the book, you know you are not in for your typical breakup story. Summer heads to Black Dog Bay to heal her wounds after a tough break-up. She finds that the town is more than it seems and the people are as well. Summer also realizes that maybe her vision of herself is skewed.

I loved the concept of the town, and the characters were real and entertaining. The story was a quick read for me and I felt invested in finding out what …

Love and Other Foreign Words by Erin McCahan – Book Review #SRC2014

Love and Other Foreign Words by Erin McCahan – Book Review #SRC2014

Love and Other Foreign Words by Erin McCahan is a quirky young-adult novel that I really enjoyed. Josie is smart, funny and full of one-liners that had me laughing out loud. The story was fast-paced and I just loved it. The dialogue was witty and just never quit. Josie and Stu were great characters. I disliked Geoff throughout the story as much as Josie did. Other than him, the other characters in the book were just as enjoyable as Jose and Stu. Love and Other Foreign Words by Erin McCahan was truly hilarious and well worth the read.

The One & Only by Emily Giffin – Book Review #SRC2014 @BookSparksPR @EmilyGiffin

The One & Only by Emily Giffin is the first book I’ve read that Emily has written. [This is also my first read for the Summer Reading Challenge 2014 from BookSparks PR. Yay!] Okay, so, yeah. I am having a bit of trouble forming my thoughts on this story. I cannot stop thinking about it and the different characters and just all the things in the book. Let’s see. I’m going to try to form a review that makes sense, because mostly, my brain is just going “oh my goodness!” from this story. 🙂

For nearly three-fourths of the story, I kept feeling like I was on the fence. Just back and forth on my feelings about …
