The Doll Maker by Majanka Verstraete is a lower to middle grade children’s chapter book. I love that it is not the usual chapter book at this age, but is a scary story/horror book. My daughter and I both liked this story. It was a quick read for each of us. My daughter loves books by R.L. Stine, like Goosebumps and The Haunting Hour series that he writes, so this was right up her alley. She said she liked this spooky story and she is looking forward to reading the next ones.
