Gladys gets more than she bargains for when she climbs aboard her first cruise and witnesses a murder. Armed with wigs and wits alone, she determines to get to the bottom of things.
This cozy mystery is a spinoff from the Ooey Gooey Bakery Mystery series.
Character Guest Post – Gladys
I’m Gladys Hill, and you are? Never mind – I’d probably forget your name anyway. Good to meet you either way.
A few of you look familiar. Maybe I’ve seen you at the Ooey Gooey Goodness Bakery? I work there part time you know, helping out my friends Piper and Sam,they own the place.
Well, I didn’t work there this week since I was on my very first cruise. Truth be told, I think working at the bakery would have been more relaxing. At least there aren’t ten zillion stairs at the bakery. Or dead bodies. At least most of the time.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes! The cruise. So, besides all the stairs and stuff, it was pretty fun. You get to dress up at night for fancy dinners. One day I went visited a lighthouse, got lost, and went parasailing – not necessarily in that order.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do now that vacation is over. Things at the bakery have slowed down and they don’t need me to work so many hours.
Maybe I’ll go back to Texas and see my cousin Suzie for a spell. I’ll keep you posted. Until then, I need to run. Still have plenty of unpacking to do from my last trip.
See you soon!
