Christmas Spirit Readathon

Christmas Spirit Readathon

Seasons of Reading is hosting their Christmas Spirit Readathon this week. Yay! The readathon runs from November 21st-November 28th. They suggest reading at least one Christmas book (since it’s a Christmas Spirit readathon), but really, you can read whatever you like. The radio started playing Christmas music today, I’m making room for the Christmas tree, and we had our first snowfall of the year this weekend. So, ready or not, Christmas is coming. And, like anything, I like to get in the spirit by reading.

Christmas Spirit Readathon Plans:

A Fatal Feast by Jessica Fletcher & Donald Bain
Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen by Vicki Delany
We Wish You a Murderous Christmas by Vicki Delany
For Duty and Honor by Leo J. Maloney
Cat Got Your Diamonds by Julie Chase

Those are my tentative books for this week. I’m hoping I can get through them. With Thanksgiving this week, I do have Thursday off from the day job, so I should be able to get in some additional reading. However, I tend to get a bit ambitious with my reading goals. 😉

Christmas Spirit Readathon and Reading Challenge

I’m also signing on to participate in the Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge. 🙂 This runs from November 21st-January 6th. This sounds so much fun, with multiple levels of participation. When signing up, you need to complete one of the main levels: Candy Cane (read 1 book), Mistletoe (read 2-4 books), or Christmas Tree (read 5 or 6 books). I’ll be aiming for the Mistletoe level, and hoping to read at least 2-4 holiday books. I am also going to go for the additional levels:

Fa La La La Films: watching Christmas movies
Visions of Sugar Plums: reading Christmas books with my children

This challenge allows crossovers, so I will be including the two Vicki Delany books listed above for this challenge. That will fulfill my Mistletoe challenge, though I am sure I will add on some additional ones along the way. If you would like to participate in the Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge, you can click here for all the information and the sign-up form.
