Friendly Fill-Ins for 4/7/17

Friendly Fill-Ins

This is week 48 for Friendly Fill-Ins, but I’m just now joining in. The fill-ins are posted at McGuffy’s Reader and 15 and Meowing, along with a link-up. I’m going to put this on my calendar so I remember to do it each week. Let me know if you are participating also, I’d love to check out your responses. 🙂

1. I don’t understand why avocado is so popular. I’ve tried it once, in a homemade salad dressing, and I just couldn’t get past the texture. Not a fan of it at all. I’ve never tried guacamole.

2. My in-case-of-emergency person is my boyfriend, Donny.

3. There is so much crazy weather lately! It was in the 60s and beautiful on Monday, and today has been a high of 33* with a rain/snow mixture going on. Some of the flowers in our landscaping at work bloomed too early, and then died because it has been going back and forth between extremes.

4. I would be lost without my kids and my boyfriend. I lost my mom suddenly in January, and it has really made me value time with my family that much more.

  1. I am so sorry about your Mom. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. We are having some crazy weather too, but I just thought it was typical New England.

  2. I am so sorry about the loss of your mama. It is never easy to say good-bye to those who brought us into this world. {{{Hugs}}}

    For a very long time, I never tried guacamole either. It looked disgusting. I referred to it as pureed frog. I wanted nothing to do with such an icky looking thing. But, one day I tried it and it was great! I love it now and wish I hadn’t taken so long about trying it. Straight avocados are great, too, sprinkled with just a little salt. And, they are very good for you, too.

    I am sorry that the freaky weather has killed off some of the plants there. I was afraid that might happen here with the wildflowers blooming in early February, but thankfully, it went well for the flowers here. We never get a real winter anyway. Our winter was three whole days this year, January 6-8. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!
