Murder at the Christmas Cookie Bake-Off by Darci Hannah
A Beacon Bakeshop Mystery Book 2
Kensington Cozies • October 5, 2021

Tucked away inside an old lighthouse in Beacon Harbor, Michigan, bakeshop café owner Lindsey Bakewellis ready to make her first Christmas in town shine bright. But her merry plans crumble fast when murder appears under the mistletoe…

With the spirit of the holidays wafting through the Beacon Bakeshop, Lindsey thinks she has the recipe for the sweetest Christmas ever—winning the town-wide cookie bake-off. Unfortunately, striving for a picture-perfect December in Beacon Harbor is a lot like biting into stale shortbread. Low on staff and bombarded by visits from family, Lindsey can barely meet demands at work, let alone summon the confidence to face fierce competition . . .

Self-appointed Christmas know-it-all Felicity Stewart is determined to take the top spot in the bake‑off, and she’s not afraid to dump a little coal in everyone’s stocking to do it. Just as the competition heats up, everything falls apart when the judge is found dead—and covered in crumbs from Lindsey’s signature cookie!

Solving a murder was never on Lindsey’s wish list. But with her reputation on the line during the happiest time of the year, she’ll need to bring her best talents to the table in order to sift out the true Christmas Cookie culprit.

  1. I enjoy finding new recipes especially when they include a cozy mystery. Even better if the recipe is a special one to use around a holiday. Thanks Brooke for sharing your blog about various authors and their books.

    1. I’m not sure what those are, but they sound delicious! Every Christmas I always make a few cookies that my mom and grandma used to make. They never quite taste as good, but they’re still delicious!

  2. I enjoyed Darci’s first Beacon Bakeshop mystsry, and certainly expect her second to be as great of a read. My favorite Christmas cookie is Church Window Cookies. It was tradition at our house during the holidays.

  3. I love holiday themed cozies, especially ones with recipes. One of my favorite Christmas cookies is this cookies and cream flavored one I found from a blog one year to try. We loved it so much I have been making it for a few years now.

  4. I have not started this series yet, but I have been reading a lot about it lately and am very excited to get on it! I love Meltaways and, more recently, Root Beer Cookies. It took a while to convince me to try them, but they are delicious, and now I can’t get enough!

    1. Okay, I need to try a Root Beer Cookie now! I love root beer, so I’m thinking that the cookie would be delicious too! Thank you for mentioning these, and for entering my giveaway!

  5. I love so many different Christmas cookies, but I think my favorite is chocolate chip with sprinkles! And thank you for the giveaway! 🙂

  6. Oh, I just set myself a Christmas reading challenge to read holiday themed books this year. This would fit right in.
