The Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon for April 2016 is officially in the books. I have discovered that it is very difficult to do a readathon when you have to work; when you have children; and when you get sucked into watching YouTube prank videos with your boyfriend. For the next readathon, I’m planning on requesting the time off from work and hopefully camping out in a hotel with nothing but peace, quiet, and some amazing books. 🙂 I would estimate I spent 4 total hours reading. I read:

Death of a Dishonorable Gentleman by Tessa Arlen (310 pages, I was on page 120 when the readathon started).
Silly Wonderful You by Sherri Duskey Rinker (picture book, read to my 4 year old)
Memoirs of a Hamster by Devin Scillian (read at the library, it’s one I’m going to use for storytime)

I loved checking out the Dewey’s site, Facebook group, Twitter and Goodreads group throughout the day/night. I’m really looking forward to October’s readathon, and hoping I get lots more books read that time. I’m continuing a readathon of my own today. Because, books. 🙂

Did you participate in the #readthon? Or did you read any wonderful books this weekend? Let me know!
