Uncle Jesus by Georgia Lee Anderson and Max Stasuyk

unclejesusUncle Jesus by Georgia Lee Anderson and Max Stasuyk

This is such an interesting look at Jesus. I have never before read a story, or shared a story with my daughter, about what it would have been like to live in the time of Jesus. Not only that, but to be related to him! This nicely illustrated, soft cover book tells what it would be like to know Jesus as your Uncle. I felt this was an imaginative, relevant story. It really made me think of something I had never before thought of: being a relative of Jesus. My daughter, Keira enjoyed this book as well. She was really happy to be able to take it to church to enjoy with her friends.

I really liked that this story was so unique and willing to step out of the box. It was great to be able to share a story about Jesus with my child, and it be something she has never heard before. This story also got her to think. She was imagining what it would be like to be Jesus’s niece; what questions she would ask him; how it would feel to live in his time; what would be different about her life if she lived back then? And many more. It isn’t often that a story garners this much thought and discussion from her, but this one did just that. 3.5 / 5 Stars 🙂
